"I
used Wise Choice as the master account holder for
three years at the request of my roommate on a computer
we shared and on his laptop. I don't think it is
as strong as advertised as I found it was easy to
find sites that it didn't block that had content
with nudity. Since my roommate is moving out I decided
to remove the filter as I am also paying for it
with my credit card, this is where my problems started.
Twice I phoned the company (on different days) and
got their answering service and left my name and
number to call back, they never phoned. Finally
I figured out how I was suppose to remove the software
but I couldn't because it kept saying the master
password was wrong, it wasn't as I had written it
down. They offer an alternative way to remove the
filter by sending in a code that the program provides
but you have to leave the computers on and the removal
program open until you get the response code. They
suggest you phone in the code but they
never answered the phone when I tried, finally I
just emailed them the code and they sent a response
code unfortunately it didn't work as my computer
rebooted while I was at work and I had to repeat
the procedure again. Once the code was inputted
the software did clear itself off the computers
and the internet connections worked fine".

| "Wise Choice is
one of many services that use the S4F filtering
solution, they distriubte it under their own name.
I found this solution to be very good for a while.
However I found a very, very simple solution to
bypass and remove the s4f filter. I will not say
how I did it here, but I had it removed in under
5 minutes. Perhaps a wise choice for kids or non
technical adults, but for anyone who has a little
technical savy it may not be a good option. This
does not just apply to Wise Choice, but all companies
using the S4F filtering technology. " -

| "What I like about
this filter is that it cannot be uninstalled or
overrided unless you call Wisechoice. It also overall
does an excellent job, with no conflicts with any
other programs on my computer. What I don't like,
is that it slows down my high speed internet connection
quite a bit, though I am on a very fast high speed
network." - reviewed 3/13/2004 by

| "An excellent
choice...for both adult and child protection. WiseChoice
offers multiple logins with different degrees of
protection. Preferences and blocking cannot be bypassed
or changed without calling the WiseChoice staff(temptation
and tampering proof). Service is great...they responded
to an email request for info in less then 2 hours,
and answered their phone(with a real human!)within
about three rings. I am very satisfied with this
service." - reviewed 5/13/2003 by

| "This filter is
very hard to get around. When my teenager tried
to remove the filter it simply kicked him off the
internet completely and would not allow access until
the Wisechoice office had been contacted by me-BUSTED!
I like this company!" - reviewed 4/2/2003

| "Wisechoice has
solved the filter and speed dilemna- Every filter
that I have tried has slowed my DSL access greatly-Wisechoice
did not. I don't know what they do differently but
it is different. They also allow you to pick out
your own filter levels. I like this filter a lot."

| "Although I found
Wisechoice to filter out what it is supposed to,
I found that it created conflicts with other operating
software on my computer. Whenever I would try to
shut down my computer, the computer would freeze
up and force me to manually shut down. It also frequently
froze up Word when I would go from the internet
to my Word documents." - reviewed 10/7/2002

| "I have found
Wisechoice to be an excellent service. I can get
filtering on my high speed cable access that doesn't
slow me down. I can also keep my email address which
I would lose if I had to change to a filtered ISP.

| "I believe Wisechoice
is fair at best. Too many times websites which should
be blocked are accessible; I've alerted Wisechoice
to various websites which have been sent to me via
SPAM. Wisechoice acknowledges the information I
sent, but the websites are still accessible! I plan
to get a different filter A.S.A.P." -reviewed

| "This was not
as strong of a filter as it says it is. In testing
the filter, I was able to get to places that with
the filter I am using now, will not allow me to
enter!! " - reviewed 4/20/2002 |

| "Several things
make this a good choice for me. One is that when
my children, grandchildren, and other relatives
would like me to remove it, I'm not the "bad
guy". I merely say that the unlocking ability
rests with the service. They have to do it. Two,
when I am reseaching a topic and I need it removed
for a period of time, I can call and have it removed.
Three, the filter stops the e-mail intrusion of
unwanted materials. This I really appreciate. I
feel that wisechoice keeps the filter "up-to-date"
also. Well worth the money!!!" - reviewed
